Former Arsenal defender, William Gallas, has urged his old club to replace Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard in the summer to get the best out of Viktor Gyokeres.
The former France international believes the Premier League leaders need top wingers who can give assists to Gyokeres to get the best out of the Sweden striker.
Gyokeres has netted 17 goals in all competitions since joining Mikel Arteta’s side from Sporting CP last summer.
“Gyokeres has scored goals, but he has to reach a minimum of twenty goals next season, and it will be difficult for him if Arsenal are going to play the same way because he doesn’t really dominate the Premier League physically as he did in Portugal,” Gallas told BoyleSports.
“Maybe you (Arsenal) need a left winger because I don’t know what has happened to Gabriel Martinelli; he is just not what he was, and Leandro Trossard, you need something else.
“When you have a striker like Gyokeres, you need players to give him the ball to score the goals.”
