Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has called for a united and sustained approach to tackle insecurity in the state.

Speaking during the 18th Executive Council meeting held at the Government House in Gusau on Monday, Lawal emphasized the need for collective responsibility among council members and stakeholders to restore lasting peace.

He said the meeting discussed key issues affecting the state, including security, education, healthcare, and infrastructural development.

The governor noted that the state had recorded progress in restoring relative peace across several areas, but warned that more work was needed to completely overcome insecurity.

He urged council members to remain proactive, engage with their constituents and local government officials, and provide regular updates on the security situation to relevant authorities.

Lawal also called for stronger collaboration among political appointees and elected officials to enhance governance and service delivery in the state.
