Gunmen k!ll police inspector, abduct his wife in Kaduna

Gunmen have k!lled a police inspector, Donfa Chirtip, and abducted his wife, Victoria, at Kurmin Kare in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, stated that the Donfa, attached to the Special Protection Unit Base 7, Abuja, was reportedly attacked while returning from his farmland with his wife on Friday.  According to him, the officers lifeless body was found in a farmland within the community later in the evening.  The deceased, identified as Inspector Donfa Chirtip of the Special Protection Unit Base 7, Abuja, was discovered lifeless on Friday evening with a deep cut on his neck in a farmland within the village. Joint patrol teams swiftly moved to the scene, where the officers body was found, he wrote.  "Preliminary investigation suggests that the inspector and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Chirtip, had gone to the farm earlier in the morning around 7:00 a.m. on a motorcycle. They were believed to have been ambushed by unknown assailants on their way back in the evening." He added that his remains were taken to the Doka General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by a medical officer and deposited in the hospital morgue. Meanwhile, efforts were said to be ongoing to locate the missing wife and apprehend the suspects behind the attack.The post Gunmen k!ll police inspector, abduct his wife in Kaduna appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
