Gunmen reportedly kill Customs officer in Kebbi

Gunmen reportedly shot dead a Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) officer in Kebbi State on Monday.

The officer was attached to the Fingila checkpoint in the Dandi Local Government Area of the state before his untimely death.

A resident of the village told journalists on Tuesday shot the victim at a close range and drove away from the scene.

He said the assailants  had earlier raided farms in the community and took away food items.

However, the NCS has not confirmed the incident at the time of filing this report.
