Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has stated that hundreds of dangerous native doctors are currently on the run in the state.

DAILY POST reports that the Anambra State government had declared war against native doctors involved in fraudulent activities.

Speaking after he was sworn-in for his second term on Tuesday, the governor said shrines belonging to some of the native doctors have been brought down.

“Hundreds of these dangerous native doctors are on the run. Their massive shrines have been destroyed,” he said.

The governor declared that his administration is currently on a crusade for ethical and cultural rebirth across the state.

DAILY POST had reported how one Nnewi-based native doctor, Ikechukwu John Paul, popularly known as Aka Mmuo, was arrested by operatives of the state security outfit, Agunechemba.

The native doctor, who was accused of performing rituals, including fortifying internet fraudsters, also known as Yahoo Boys to scam their victims, begged for leniency when he was paraded around his shrine last week.
