The death of former President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to elicit different reactions from Nigerians, with diverse opinions.
While some, especially the elite and politicians have extolled his virtues as a leader who had the interest of Nigeria at heart, some among the downtrodden masses have been celebrating his passing.
Interestingly, most of those who are happy at Buhari’s demise are people from the northern region where he hailed from and was perceived loved and adored.
While some Kano youths were seen in videos jubilating when news of Buhari’s passing broke, some have also been captured on video saying they will not forgive him for inflicting hardship on them.
In another video shared on X on Tuesday, a Hausa man is heard asking God to deal with Buhari in the world beyond the way he dealt with Nigerians when he was the president.
The angry man is heard saying Buhari was cruel and wicked to the poor masses and for that, he would not forgive the late former president.

The aggrieved man narrated how the people stood by Buhari when he was running for the presidency and showed him unalloyed love and voted for him, only for him to turn his back on the masses and instead, inflicted untold hardship on them.
“We thank Almighty Allah that we have seen the end of Buhari,” the man said.
“We voted for him, we showed him love, we stood by him, there is nothing we did not do for Buhari but when he became president, he turned his back on us. He inflicted on us so much pains and agony.
“He inflicted different kinds of pains on us. But look at it today, maybe he thought he will live forever. May Allah do to him what he did to us.
“Today he has seen the reward of his wickedness on the poor masses. May Allah never give us the kind of leader like Buhari. I swear I will not forgive him because the wickedness, cruelty and oppression was too much.
“Allah will judge him. Nobody can tell me to forgive him because I will not. Buhari was cruel and wicked especially to the poor masses. What he did to us, may Allah do same to him,” he concluded.
