Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, a former Director General of the Asue/Ogie Campaign Council in last year’s governorship election in Edo State, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Iduoriyekemwen’s resignation comes a few days after he cautioned the party against participating in next month’s by-election to fill vacant seats in Edo Central senatorial District and Ovia Federal Constituency.

In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 5, Ikpoba-Okha LGA, Iduoriyekewen stated that his resignation was due to recent development at the state and the national levels of the party.

The former NDDC commissioner, however, did not disclose his next political move.

He stated that he planned to concentrate on his private life and business.

“This is not a decision made out of anger or haste, but one rooted in deep reflection and a sincere desire to preserve my personal values and integrity.

“I sincerely thank the party leadership and all members of Ward 5, Ikpoba-Okha LGA,for their love and support over the years. I wish the PDP well in her future endeavours,” the letter read.
