INEC lowest rated government institution – Buhari’s ex-Minister

Former Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Solomon Dalung, says the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is the lowest rated institution of the government.

Dalung made this statement while fielding questions in an interview on Trust TV on Wednesday, urging INEC to redeem its image.

According to him, the mere mention of INEC calibrates the blood pressure of some people because of what they have suffered.

“When an individual sat to say, technical glitch and said, I’ve declared the results, if you disagree, then go to court. This has inflicted monumental pains amongst Nigerians.

“So, it is left for INEC to redeem its image, which from their body language, they are still operating within the parametres of confusion. So we cannot judge them yet.

“Maybe, they may decide to align with posterity and do justice. That I don’t want to predict. But for grading of institutions in Nigeria, I think INEC is the lowest,” he said.
