Iran has announced that 3,375 people have died within its territory as a result of the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel, according to official figures released on Sunday.
The casualty data was provided by the head of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization, an agency operating under the country’s judiciary, and reported by state media.
Abbas Masjedi disclosed that the figures were compiled using formal identification procedures.
He said, “During the recent imposed war, the bodies of 3,375 martyrs were identified by the Legal Medicine Organization using scientific and specialised methods.”
According to Masjedi, the fatalities include 2,875 men and 496 women. However, no further breakdown was given regarding the ages of the victims or whether they were civilians or combatants.

The report was carried by Iran’s official news agency, IRNA.
Independent verification of the figures remains difficult, as access to affected locations is restricted, limiting the ability of external observers to confirm the reported toll.
The latest figures highlight the human cost of the escalating hostilities, even as details surrounding the full extent and impact of the conflict remain contested.
