President Donald Trump of the United States has claimed the Iranian government would soon fall, noting it may not be immediately.
Trump made the claims on Friday while speaking to Fox News Radio.
This followed American and Israeli military strikes on the Islamic Republic, which started on February 28, killing the Iranian Supreme Leader and many other people.
“I really think that’s a big hurdle to climb for people who don’t have weapons. I think it’s a very big hurdle… It’ll happen, but it probably will be, maybe not immediately,” Trump said.
The US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, had said in an interview that Friday’s strikes will be the highest volume it has put over the skies of Iran. https://dailypost.ng/2026/03/13/war-Today-will-be-highest-volume-of-strikes-weve-put-over-iran-us/
He said the United States and Israel have struck more than 15,000 targets in Iran since the beginning of their joint military operation.
The Iran war has sent oil prices up to about $100 a barrel with the vital Strait of Hormuz effectively closed, and US gas pump prices have continued to rise in turn.
