The Israel Defense Forces, IDF, has announced a strike on Imam Hossein University, describing it as the main military university affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC.

According to the IDF, the institution allegedly operated under civilian cover while serving as a hub for research and development of advanced weaponry.

The Israeli military further claimed that the university’s direct ties to the IRGC and its role in supporting militant activities have led several countries to impose sanctions on both the institution and its senior officials.
