Iran’s revolutionary guards spokesman killed in attack

The spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ali Mohammad Naini, has been killed in a suspected Israel and United States attack.

The Tasnim news agency described Naini  as a veteran commander who had served the Islamic Republic for more than four decades.

Several Iranian top officials, including security chief Ali Larijani and intelligence minister Esmaeil Khatib have been killed in airstrikes in recent days.

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the opening hours of the joint military campaign.

He has since been replaced by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
