Amid the ongoing US and Iran hostilities, the Emirate’s Ministry of Defence on Thursday issues a missile warning to all residents.
The Ministry said that the UAE air defences were responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran.
According to the ministry, the sounds heard were the result of the Air Defence Systems intercepting missiles and drones and that residents had been alerted.
It further explained that residents have received a missile alert on their phones.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, NCEMA, has however, insisted that members of the public should not leave their homes or places of residence.
“Residents are advised to head to a safe place and take shelter until an all clear alert is issued for the area,” NCEMA said.
