Former governor of Sokoto State, and now senator representing Sokoto south has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The senator has moved to the newly formed African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He made this known in a letter dated March 11, and addressed to his ward chairman in Tambuwal/Shinfiri.
He cited the “persistent internal crisis” and “ongoing conflicts” in the PDP as his reason for leaving the party, which he said “followed deep reflection” and “extensive consultations”.
