
The Kano State Police Command has announced the schedule for the physical and credentials screening of applicants who applied for the recruitment of 50,000 General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the exercise will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026, at the Police Officers’ Mess, Bompai, Kano.
The command said the announcement is particularly for indigenes of Kano State who applied for the recruitment.
“The Kano State Police Command wishes to inform the good people of Kano State, particularly indigenes who applied for the recruitment for General Duty/Specialists Police Constables that the physical and credentials screening exercise has been scheduled to take place from 9th March to 18th April, 2026 at the Police Officers’ Mess Bompai Kano,” the statement said.
Applicants were advised to log into the official recruitment portal to confirm their status and print the required documents.
According to the command, the documents that must be printed and presented at the screening venue include the Guarantors form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form and Physical Screening Form.
The police also listed several items that candidates must bring along to the screening venue.
These include the Invitation Slip showing the assigned table, Credential Screening Form, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), O’ Level certificate such as GCE or SSCE, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate.
Applicants applying as specialists are also expected to present their Trade Test or relevant certificate.
The command further stated that candidates must submit a duly completed and signed guarantors form with photocopies and passport photographs of their referees attached.
In addition, applicants are required to bring both original and duplicate copies of their credentials, neatly arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
Candidates are also expected to appear for the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts and white stockings.
The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, assured applicants that adequate security will be provided throughout the exercise.
He also warned candidates to conduct themselves properly during the screening.
The police further stressed that the recruitment screening is completely free.
“It is important to note that the screening exercise is completely free and will be conducted in accordance with the professional guidelines of the Force,” the statement added.
The command also warned that only applicants who have been invited for the screening will be allowed at the venue.
