Kano water resources commissioner resigns

The Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Umar Haruna-Doguwa, has resigned from the position.
Haruna-Doguwa served as Commissioner for Education before his redeployment to water resources.
His resignation took effect from Monday.
Meanwhile, Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf has accepted the commissioner’s resignation.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, confirmed the development in a state on Tuesday in Kano.
Yusuf expressed appreciation to the former commissioner for his commitment, loyalty and dedicated service to the people and government of Kano State during his tenure in office.

The governor had appointed Education Commissioner, Ali Haruna-Abubakar -Makoda to oversee the water resources pending the appointment of a new commissioner.
