Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has reshuffled his cabinet, moving some commissioners to new ministries and appointing two new special advisers.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who said the reshuffle takes immediate effect.
In the new arrangement, Hon. Adnan Nahabu becomes Commissioner for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education. Professor Ahmad Muhammad Bakori will now head the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development after leaving the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
Hon. Aliyu Lawal Zakari has been moved from Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Agriculture, while Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa has been redeployed from Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Special Duties.
Also, Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia is now Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, and Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur takes over as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.
Hajiya Aisha Aminu, who was formerly the Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), has been appointed Commissioner for Women Affairs.
The governor also approved two new special advisers; Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar Yar’Adua, who will handle Nutrition and Welfare Services, and Isa Muhammad Musa, who will be in charge of Cultural Orientation.
Governor Radda congratulated the new appointees and urged them to see their appointments as an opportunity to serve, not as a reward. He called on them to work hard, remain loyal, and stay committed to the state’s development goals.
