Kidnappers demand N10m each for two Immigration officers abducted in Benue

Two personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, have been kidnapped in Benue State, with their abductors demanding N10 million each for their release.

The victims, Officer Oliver Orasuur and Officer David Shiaondo Iorwuese, were seized a few days ago along the Katsina-Ala–Ukum Road.

Family members confirmed that the kidnappers had contacted them to press for the ransom payment.

Reacting to the incident, the NIS described the abduction as a “critical moment for the Service,” calling for urgent intervention, broad support, and coordinated efforts to ensure the officers are freed unharmed.

This latest kidnapping mirrors a similar case in May, when gunmen abducted Simon Agbo, another Immigration officer, from his home in Makurdi, the state capital.

A relative recounted that the attackers arrived without warning and fired several shots into the air before taking him away.
