The presiding pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya has responded to criticism over his controversial sermon, “I will never follow a poor pastor.”

Speaking in a recent video broadcast, Pastor Komaiya explained that his message was “misunderstood, misquoted and blown out of proportion.”

He reiterated that “kingdom wealth” and benevolence are important, emphasising that “nothing attracts people like loving them”.

The cleric noted that apart from taking seriously the welfare of all the staff of the ministry and their families, his church has impacted the lives of many, church members and non-members alike, financially and otherwise.

“The concept of employer, employee does not apply in our own ministry and to the glory of God, following this same example, all our staffs are on church scholarship, anyone who is a staff of the ministry, all their children are on church scholarship, education we pay for it, health 100 per cent, any health crisis, our ministry pays for it,” Pastor Komaiya stated.

He urged the public, especially Christians, to always verify news about clerics to avoid falling for the antics of mischief makers targeting churches and pastors.
