Lagos police detain officers attempting to seize phones of young men during stop and search exercise

The Lagos Police Command has detained some officers over allegations of harassment and extortion of youths in the state. In a video making the rounds on social media, some police officers from the command could be seen attempting to seize the phone of some young men they stopped during a stop and search exercise.  The video showed one of the young men struggling to snatch his phone from one of the officers. In a statement released, the command said the arrest of the officers followed complaints and supporting evidence of misconduct involving the officers. The statement mentioned that the affected personnel are currently undergoing an orderly room trial, with further investigations ongoing. Watch the viral video below     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post Lagos police detain officers attempting to seize phones of young men during stop and search exercise appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
