Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo is delighted with Ademola Lookman’s arrival at the club, DAILY POST reports.
The Rojiblancos signed the Nigeria international on the final day of the winter transfer window.
Lookman penned a contract until 30 June, 2030.
Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahce were previously in pole position to sign the winger.
Atletico, however, moved in promptly, and struck an agreement with Atalanta.
Cerezo said it has been Lookman’s dream to play for a top club like Atletico Madrid.
“He is a player sought after by major clubs, and the difference, due to a significant financial gap, has allowed him to come and play for us, which has been his dream for many years,” Cerezo was quoted by eldesmarque.com.
