Hansi Flick’s men started the game brightly and took a two-goal lead in the first half, thanks to goals from Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong.
Fermin Lopez added a third goal after the break with a super finish.
The result means Barcelona move one point ahead of Madrid.
Earlier on Sunday, Sevilla edged a 1-0 victory over Getafe, while third-place Villarreal host Valencia later on.
