Social commentator, Mahdi Shehu has criticized Nigeria’s newly proposed tax law.
He described it as tax terrorism, tax banditry, tax fraud, and tax genocide.
Posting on X on Thursday, Shehu said the law was conceived and written by the hand of the devil and warned Nigerians to resist it.
“The greedy mind of the devil conceived and proposed it. The hand of the devil wrote it with the ink of blood. The hand of the devil forged it. Hand of God exposed it,” Shehu wrote.
He urged the public to come to know about the law and resist it with all their might.
Recall that on Wednesday, revelations emerged that the soon-to-be implemented new tax laws had been altered. The allegation was made by House of Representatives member, Hon. Abdulsammad Dasuki.
In a viral video on X, the lawmaker claimed there are discrepancies between the tax laws passed by the National Assembly and the versions that were gazetted and made available to the public.
