A 53-year-old tourist from the Philippines has died after losing consciousness on the Frozen Ever After ride at Hong Kong Disneyland. The man was riding with his wife on Friday, August 29, when he fell into a coma mid-ride. She immediately alerted staff, and first-aid responders performed CPR as the boat returned to the loading area. He was rushed to North Lantau Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after 11:30 a.m. local time. Police confirmed they received a report of the incident at 10:18 a.m. The mans wife told authorities he had pre-existing health conditions, including heart disease and high blood pressure, which required ongoing treatment. A spokesperson for Hong Kong Disneyland expressed condolences, stating: The resort deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family. The initial investigation has shown the incident is not related to ride safety. The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong confirmed the death on Saturday, August 30, and said it was coordinating with authorities to assist the family. The Frozen Ever After ride, part of the parks World of Frozen section which opened in 2023, is a slow-paced boat attraction featuring animatronics of characters from Disneys Frozen films. It is considered suitable for all ages and heights, though the park advises against pregnant women riding. The post Man d!es at Disneyland after passing out on popular ride next to wife appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
