
The Ondo State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man who reportedly fled after allegedly k!lling his wife, Mrs Christianah Kutelu, in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North-East Local Government area of the state. It was gathered that the deceased, who was a staff member of a special needs school, d!ed on Sunday, April 26, 2026 under circumstances suspected to be linked to domestic violence. The suspect allegedly took the victims body to a morgue shortly after the incident before disappearing to an unknown destination. Family sources said the matter was reported to the police, raising suspicion over the husbands involvement in the womans d3ath. The spokesperson for the State Police Command, DSP Jimoh Abayomi, confirmed the incident. The Ondo State Police Command has commenced an investigation into a suspected m8rder case reported at the Ikare Division, involving the d3ath of Mrs Christianah Kutelu, aged 51, the PPRO said. The case was reported by a family member who alleged that the deceaseds husband might have been involved in acts of domestic violence leading to her d3ath. The husband is currently at large, and efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend him. The corpse has been deposited in the hospital morgue for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of d3ath. The command assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly investigated and justice served.
