Manchester United have secured their spot in next season’s Champions League after defeating Liverpool 3-2 in a Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils had gone 2-0 up in the first half, thanks to early goals from Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
Liverpool then fought back to level up in the second half, through Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo who both capitalised on errors to level.

But United still won the day as Kobbie Mainoo netted the winner on 77 minutes to inspire a frenzy finish, with the hosts holding on to win.
United boss Michael Carrick has now beaten Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea to complete a clean sweep of England’s ‘Super League’ clubs.
It is yet to be know whether or not the club will keep interim boss Carrick as manager at the end of the season.
In another Premier League game played earlier in the day, Bournemouth thrashed Crystal Palace 3-0 to boost their hopes for a European finish.
