The Nigerian currency, the naira, appreciated against the United States dollar at the official window on Tuesday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,343.76/$1, compared to N1,356.18/$1 on Monday.
This represents a gain of N12.42 for the local currency against the American dollar.
At the black market, the Nigerian currency, the naira, gained N5 against the American dollar to trade at N1,405/$1 after trading at N1,410/$1 for the last four days.

The local currency gained N10 against the British Pound, trading at N1,890/£1, as against the previous day’s N1,900/£1.
The naira lost N100 against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,100/CA$1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,000/CA$1.
The naira lost N5 against the euro, trading at ₦1,615/€1, as against the previous day’s ₦1,610/€1.
