Naira gains N4.03 against dollar at official window, now below N1,500/$1

The Nigerian currency, the naira, appreciated further against the American dollar at the official window on Monday, September 15, 2025.

According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data, the naira closed at N1,497.46/$1, as against N1,501.49/$1 it traded on Friday, September 12, 2025.

This represents an appreciation of N4.03 for the local currency against the American greenback.

The naira lost N5 against the American greenback to trade at N1,535/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,540/$1.

The naira lost N10 against the British Pound to trade at N2,110/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,100/£1.

The naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,230/CA$1, the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,230/CA$1.

The naira gained N5 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,790/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of ₦1,795/€1.
