The Nigerian currency, the naira, slumped further against the American dollar at the official window on Thursday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,341.35/$1, compared to N1,338.10/$1 on Wednesday.
This represents a loss of N3.25 for the local currency against the American dollar.
At the black market, the Nigerian currency gained N25 against the American dollar, trading at N1,340/$1, as against the previous rate of N1,365/$1.

The local currency gained N75 against the British Pound to trade at N1,850/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,925/£1.
The naira gained N130 against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,000/CA$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,130/CA$1.
The naira gained N40 against the euro, trading at ₦1,640/€1, compared with the previous day’s ₦1,680/€1.
