Chelsea Football Club have been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League during this 2025 summer transfer window with Nicolas Jackson being one of the names set to leave to club.
There are reports that the Senegalese international has attracted interest from top European clubs following the acquisition of Liam Delap and Jaoa Pedro at the club. However, Chelsea have placed a price tag of £80 million for Nicolas Jackson due to the length of years that is left on his contract.
The Athletic comfirmed that according to reports from Stamford Bridge, Jackson will be reintegrated into Maresca’s squad after the deadline if no transfer materialises. The Blues are not desperate to sell him as he could serve as a major squad depth going into the 2025/26 season.
What will happen to Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea?
Jackson was expected to leave Chelsea earlier in the season however with the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres moving clubs this summer, the list of potential suitors is running low for the striker.
The only club that seem to be the destination for Jackson is Newcastle United after missing out on a number of their top targets in the attacking area this summer. They are only likely to bring in a new striker if Alexander Isak leaves the Saint James' Park who has made it clear that he wants to join Liverpool.
However, Chelsea are by no means desperate to sell the former Villarreal striker, however do need to make more money in transfer fees if they are to continue to make signings before the deadline.
