Nigeria’s Minister for Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his backing to officially launch phase one of the National Single Window on March 27, 2026.

She disclosed this in a statement on her X account on Friday.

This followed a pre-launch meeting held among stakeholders on March 4th, 2026.

According to her, the move, which was described as a strategic push, would accelerate Nigeria’s economic growth.

She added that the policy, when implemented, would be a monumental step in achieving a more efficient, cost-effective trade environment for Nigeria.

“In a strategic push to accelerate Nigeria’s economic growth, the official launch of Phase One of the National Single Window (NSW) is set for March 27—a unified digital platform designed to simplify and coordinate trade across relevant government agencies.

“Following the Stakeholders Pre-Launch Meeting on March 4th at the State House, I have been delegated by the Presidency to coordinate the final implementation phase, ensuring the National Single Window (NSW) is fully prepared for its official go-live.

“This is a monumental step in achieving a more efficient, cost-effective trade environment for Nigeria,” she wrote on X.

DAILY POST reports that NSW is a unified digital platform designed to simplify and coordinate trade across relevant government agencies.

Recall that Nigeria’s economy grew by 4.07 percent in the last quarter of 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
