The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority said it is Nigerian airline operators that plan to blacklist a popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, also known as K1 de Ultimate, for a period of six months over alleged misconduct in the domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the NCAA, Michael Achimugu, made this clarification known in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Thursday.
This comes amid a report that K1 De Ultimate has been banned by the government authorities for six months.
Speaking to DAILY POST on the development, Achimugu clarified that “It is not the NCAA that is blacklisting him but Nigerian airline operators.”
He further stressed that the incident is still under investigation by relevant government agencies, and everybody found guilty will be brought to book.
Recall that the NCAA earlier suspended crew members of ValueJet for failing to observe airport safety protocols in an incident involving K1 de ultimate at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport domestic terminal on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
While the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced that it has commenced a probe of the incident, K1 De Ultimate absolved himself of wrongdoing in a statement on Thursday.
