4. At least six health workers were abducted in the early hours of Saturday when suspected gunmen attacked a Primary Healthcare Centre in Akure, Ondo State. The assailants reportedly stormed the facility in the Oke Ijebu area of the state capital at about 2:00 a.m., catching medical personnel and patients unprepared.

5. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following the death of his mother. Yilwatda visited El-Rufai at his Abuja residence to sympathise with him over the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness.

6. The All Progressives Congress has dismissed as fake a report circulating in the media on the purported prices of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections. The ruling party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said in a statement on Saturday that the report did not emanate from the party.

7. Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Funso Doherty, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, citing a prolonged crisis within the party. Doherty, who joined the PDP in 2024, announced his resignation in a letter posted on his X handle on Saturday.

Atiku, in a post via his official X handle, said that Kwankwaso was on a courtesy visit and they both had a robust discussion on the state of the country.
