The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed ₦2.93 trillion to the federal government, states, and local governments in November 2025, based on revenue generated in October 2025.
Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) revealed that the amount shared comprised ₦2.16 trillion from the Statutory Account, ₦49.87 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ₦719.83 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT).
According to the NBS FAAC report for November 2025, the Federal Government received ₦758.41 billion, state governments received ₦689.12 billion, while local government councils received ₦505.80 billion.
The NBS also disclosed that ₦141.39 billion was distributed to oil-producing states as 13 per cent derivation revenue.
The report further showed that revenue-generating agencies, including the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), received ₦29.64 billion, ₦50.71 billion, and ₦34.92 billion respectively as the cost of revenue collection.
A breakdown of allocations to the Federal Government revealed that ₦591.99 billion was paid into the Consolidated Revenue Fund, ₦12.35 billion was allocated for derivation and ecology, ₦6.18 billion went to the Stabilisation Fund, ₦20.75 billion was set aside for the development of natural resources, while ₦19.17 billion was allocated to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
However, FAAC had earlier announced that ₦1.92 trillion was shared among the three tiers of government for November 2025. This was contained in an official communiqué issued in December 2025, which differs from the figures contained in the latest NBS report.
According to the earlier FAAC communiqué, the shared revenue consisted of ₦1.40 trillion from statutory sources, ₦485.83 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and ₦39.64 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). It added that the gross revenue for the month stood at ₦2.34 trillion.
