Nasarawa United midfielder, Habibu Alakija, has attributed the team’s matchday 35 win over Warri Wolves to hard work.

The Solid Miners beat Warri Wolves 3-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

Alakija netted the third goal for Nasarawa United.

Chimezie Victor and Ngei Oluka-Efor were also on target in the game.

The victory ended Nasarawa United’s three-game winless run in the league.

Alakija says that the players showed determination to end the poor run.

“I thank God for scoring for my team. The past three games had been really difficult for us,” Alakija stated in a chat with Nasarawa United’s media.

“Not convinced with those three previous games, we resolved to redouble our efforts to return to winning ways, and alhamdulillah, we achieved that against a strong opposition like Warri Wolves.

“I wish to keep scoring till the end of this season, to help my team achieve its set goals.”
