Bendel Insurance head coach, Charles Omokaro believed that his team must avoid defeat in their next game against Wikki Tourists to boost their chances of securing a continental ticket.
The Benin Arsenals will take on Wikki Tourists in a matchday 35 fixture in Bauchi this weekend.
Insurance currently occupy seventh position on the league table with 49 points.
They are still pushing to earn a berth on the continent.
“That game against Wikki Tourists means a lot for us. We are going there with the target of winning the game to collect the three points or, at worst, a point to ensure we achieve our objective of finishing among the top three,” Omokaro told Completesports.
DAILY POST recalls that Bendel Insurance last played on the continent in the 2023–24 season, when they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.
