Nasarawa United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, remains unperturbed about his team’s defeat to Ikorodu City.
The Solid Miners lost to the Oga Boys 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Sunday.
The defeat ended Nasarawa United’s seven-game unbeaten run in the league.
Mangut expressed confidence in his players to return to winning ways in the next game.
Nasarawa United remain top of the NPFL table with 19 points from nine matches.
“Like I always say, the league is a marathon; it will definitely come with some ups and downs, and today is one of the unfortunate days we couldn’t secure points,” Mangut reacted after the game.
“We are not under any pressure. We have given our supporters and fans some kind of confidence, particularly for the past six to seven games, so they were expecting to see a decent result here in Lagos, but we met a highly mobile side who took advantage of their chances.
“We will regroup and return to winning ways, going forward.”
Nasarawa United will be up against Rivers United in their next game in Port Harcourt.
