Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has reiterated the team’s desire to maintain their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, status.

The Peace Boys suffered a setback in their quest for NPFL survival following a 2-1 defeat to Barau FC on Monday.

Plateau United dropped to 12th position in the NPFL table following the defeat.

They are now four points above the relegation zone.

Ogunbote promised that they will continue to work hard to achieve their goals.

“At this stage of the season the games are very difficult, we will do our best to get good results and hope for a level playing ground on the road,” Ogunbote told Plateau United’s media.

“Our target still remain to avoid the drop and we are working to achieve that.”

Plateau United will square up with Niger Tornadoes this weekend.
