Wikki Tourists defender, Mohammed Guda, believes his team was simply unlucky in their 2-1 defeat to El-Kanemi Warriors.
The loss extended Wikki Tourists’ winless streak to six matches.
Guda, however, expressed optimism that the team would recover from their poor run. He also urged the club’s supporters to remain patient and continue their support.
“We gave everything, but football can be unpredictable. We just need to stay focused and keep working hard,” Guda said in a post-match interview.
“I appeal to our fans to remain calm, keep supporting and praying for us. Better results will come, Insha Allah.”
Wikki Tourists will host Shooting Stars in their next fixture at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
