The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has warned applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise to beware of fraudsters demanding money in exchange for employment.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, the Board reminded Nigerians that the recruitment process is transparent, seamless, and completely free.

According to the statement signed by Okeh Juliet, Head of Press and Public Relations, the Board stressed that no applicant would be asked to pay any fee or disclose personal banking information at any stage of the recruitment.

“At no point will any applicant be asked to pay a fee, disclose personal banking information, or make any form of financial contribution to advance in the recruitment,” the statement read.

The Board assured applicants that the next stage of the recruitment exercise would be announced soon, urging them to rely only on official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic updates and notifications.

“Applicants are strongly advised to rely only on official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic updates regarding the next stages of the exercise,” it added.

The CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, integrity, and accountability in the recruitment process, noting that its mission is to attract the best-qualified candidates for the nation’s paramilitary services.

It also urged candidates to report any suspicious activities or payment demands to the nearest security agency for prompt action.
