The President of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People, MSOP, Fegalo Nsuke, says oil resumption on Ogoni land has wide support among the Ogoni people.

Nsuke made this declaration on Sunday while responding to questions in an interview on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST.

DAILY POST recalls that the Federal Government had recently sent a delegation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers over the resumption of oil exploration in Ogoniland.

“We have made it very clear that we want oil production to resume. The only issue is ensuring mutual benefits.

“What matters most to us is the development of Ogoni land, and this cannot happen without funding.

“That’s been discussed at the moment. So I’ll say yes, we are on course, and that’s going to happen,” he said.
