
The Imala ward 14 community located in the Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State has expressed concern over the deplorable conditions of its 7.5 kilometres road, appealing to the Ogun State government to come to its aid.
They lamented that the road was nothing to write home and has affected the development of the community.
They made the appeal in a statement signed by Imala Development Coordinator, Mr Steven Adetomiwa and made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Sunday.
Adetomiwa urged Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconstruct the road, explaining that it was initially constructed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo and is long overdue.
The Statement reads “On behalf of Imala ward 14 community in Abeokuta North Local Government, we write to appreciate your elongated two-term tenure as Governor of Ogun State and wishing you many more prosperous future endeavours.
“Imala the headquarters for regional Westerns administration in Abeokuta North Local Government hereby appeal to you for the construction of the 7.5 kilometres of the road that across the township.
“This constituency, ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government voted massively for your elections on the two terms for the Governorship.
“Your willingness and assistance on this project will herald our dividends of democracy from your tenureship of ruling Ogun state. Equally, this will be our best opportunity for the development of this constituency with your directives on the construction of this road.
