One person was killed in an explosion that occurred at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria, DICON, factory in Kaduna on Saturday.
DAILY POST reports that the explosion was heard in several parts of Kaduna metropolis and environs.
One person was reportedly killed in the incident and several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
A source said, “The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals, including the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.”
According to him, details of the incident are still emerging, and the cause of the explosion is yet to be determined.
He explained that further investigations are needed to determine the cause of the blast and the extent of the damage.
