Onyejeocha resigns as Minister of State for Labour

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians as she formally stepped down from her position.

Onyejeocha made this known in a message shared on her social media handle on Friday, describing the end of her tenure as the closing of “a significant chapter” in her journey of public service.

Addressing President Tinubu, the minister thanked him for the opportunity to serve in his administration and for the confidence reposed in her.

“I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity you gave me to serve Nigeria in your administration. Your trust, support, and visionary leadership have been invaluable,” she said.

“Working under your Renewed Hope Agenda has been an honor and privilege. Thank you for believing in my capacity to contribute to nation-building.”

She also appreciated the leadership and staff of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for their support and collaboration during her time in office.

“To the Honourable Minister, Permanent Secretary, Directors, and every member of staff, thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and partnership,” Onyejeocha stated.

“Together, we advanced policies that protected workers’ rights, promoted workplace safety, and expanded employment opportunities. Your commitment to service made every achievement possible.”

She further expressed appreciation to her constituents in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, noting that their support and prayers sustained her throughout her service.

“To my constituents, you have been my inspiration and my strength. Your support, prayers, and belief in me have sustained me through this journey and will continue to,” she added.

She also thanked Nigerians for their support and engagement during her tenure.

“Serving Nigeria has been the greatest privilege of my life. As one chapter closes, another opens. I remain committed to service, to progress, and to building the Nigeria we all deserve,” Onyejeocha said.
