The Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday asked Governor Monday Okpebholo, to investigate his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki, for bad governance.
The former national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) made the call at an event to celebrate the Supreme Court judgement on the September 2, 2024 governorship election in the state.
A five-member panel of the apex court on Thursday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, for lack of merit.
In his remark at the event. Oshiomhole said now that now his election has been affirmed by the Suprrme Court, the governor should beam his searchlight on the Radisson Blue Hotel and other projects initiated by the Obaseki administration.

He said: “And now we are told Edo is a minority shareholder. You now have time to look into that.
“So by the time your Excellency now has time for the second rematch, Obaseki will have to come out from hiding to answer to those questions. We have come to rescue Edo, but to rescue means you must also investigate.
“How did we get here? So that in the future nobody will get there. God will give you the wisdom, the energy and everything required to keep our state going.
“I now challenge Obaseki to come to Edo; let us work as former governors. Let us all walk on the streets of Benin. Let’s see who did what to affect the life of the people.”
