The Osun Amotekun Corps has arrested a commercial motorcycle operator for allegedly raping a 35-year-old woman at gunpoint.
This is contained in a statement by Osun Amotekun Corps spokesperson, Yusuf Abass, on Friday in Osogbo.
He alleged that the 29-year-old suspect raped the woman in his residence at Alusekere Area of Ede.
He said the victim reported the incident to the Amotekun Corps, stating that the suspect lured her to his home under the pretext of helping her locate her missing ward.
“Upon her arrival, the suspect reportedly brandished a locally made pistol and a knife, using both weapons to intimidate and forcibly rape her,” he said.
Similarly, Abass said the Corps also arrested a bricklayer for vandalising and stealing electrical wires in an uncompleted building located at a new site in Osogbo.
He said the bricklayer, who works at the site, took advantage of his job to gain access to the building after work.
