According to the statement, Salihu was a passenger at the time of the incident and was allegedly shot multiple times.

He was rushed to hospital but died later that night. He was buried in his hometown of Argungu.

The deceased is survived by two wives, seven children and his parents.

The association also called on the Nigeria Customs Service to investigate the incident and take measures to prevent a recurrence.

It further urged the Kebbi State Government to provide support to the family.

AMDON said it has reported the matter to the appropriate authorities and appealed to the public to remain calm and law-abiding.
