
The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reconfirmed Tony Aziegbemi-led Edo State Caretaker Committee, issuing stern warning to impostors to steer clear.
This was contained in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Friday.
Ologunagba said, for clarity, the NWC on 6th May, 2025, pursuant to its powers under the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017) constituted the Tony Aziegbemi-led Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Party in the State for a period of 90 days beginning from 6th May, 2025.
“The attention of the National Working Committee, NWC, of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was at its meeting of Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 drawn to the activities of certain individuals posturing and seeking to parade themselves as the State Executive of our Party in Edo State.
“The NWC states in clear terms and for the avoidance of any doubt that the Edo State Chapter of our party is under the leadership of the Dr Tony Aziegbemi-led Caretaker Committee.
According to the statement, for emphasis, the members of the Edo State PDP Caretaker Committee are;

The NWC further declared that any other individual or individuals posturing as members of the PDP Edo State Executive are impostors and should be regarded as such by party members, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, security agencies, the media and the general public.
