Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo has claimed he does not know why Peter Obi’s supporters are crying wolf.
He said this in response to his critics, regarding his recent threat against the former governor and a 2027 presidential candidate.
Okpebholo, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had recently threatened the former Anambra governor, saying Obi will be responsible for whatever happens to him if he enters Edo State without permission.
The Governor, who received backslash for his comment, However, appeared defiant, insisting he only advised and not threatened Obi.
Addressing a large crowd of Edo people on Tuesday, the Governor mocked his critics, wondering if they are pained because he quoted Obi saying he does not have ‘shishi’.
“Just one word, and everybody was crying, I simply said, ‘Don’t come to Edo without telling me,'” the governor, widely called an illiterate by his critics, said.
“I don’t know which one is paining them. Is it because I said they don’t have shishi? didn’t they say they don’t have shishi, so why are they crying?”
