The Benue State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed fresh killings by suspected herdsmen in two local government areas of the state.
Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen had earlier in the week killed five people in some communities of Ado and Ohinmini local government areas of the state.
Several people were also declared missing in the attack which took place between Monday and Tuesday in the affected communities.

The command’s spokesperson, Udeme Edet, in a chat with journalists on Wednesday in Makurdi said the command has commenced an investigation into the killings.
She said: “The command is on top of the situation and has commenced investigation on the incidents.”
